COLORADO MOUNTAIN DOGS
Colorado Mountain Dogs (CMD) are livestock guardian dogs (LGD) that are more people friendly than traditional LGDs, yet they have retained their nature to protect their livestock. After battling coyotes for years, we decided to add a pair of LGDs. After falling in love with the CMDs, which are primarily located in Colorado (although spreading quickly), we decided that we would begin breeding in order to bring this amazing breed to Minnesota. Our first female, FWF Sophie, was purchased from Wisconsin and our male, SWF Beau, was purchased from Colorado. Beau is a direct descendant from Caspian, the dog the breed is based on. Two years after Sophie and Beau, we added LRF Eva, also from Colorado. Available puppies and dogs are listed below. Puppies on our farm have been exposed to horses, poultry, cats, and other dogs, as well as many human visitors.
CURRENT LITTER
FALL 2023 EVA AND BEAU LITTER
These puppies were born on October 8th and will be ready for new homes around the middle of December. This is Eva and Beau's first litter together and Eva's first ever litter. She has been a fantastic first time mom, especially considering that she had ten puppies. These are G3 Colorado Mountain Dogs. You may place a hold on a puppy for a deposit of $150.
EVIE

Evie is named after her mother because they are two in the same. Evie is a quiet, thoughtful girl who loves attention, but is not pushy about it. She is content to look at you with her big eyes and wait her turn. She will make a great family dog with her gentle spirit.
SASSY

Sassy loves attention and isn't afraid to let you know that. She was a small girl when she was born, but with an abundance of brothers, she learned to fight the big boys and she now rivals their size. If you want a friend who will be at your side, Sassy might be your girl.
BLIZZARD

Sweet and kind, this boy is quietly curious. He is happy to be pet, but is not pushy about it. He is gentle and would love a home with where he can get love and attention.
SNOWSTORM

This boy would do well at any farm. He is very gentle and loving. Snowstorm is quiet and is respectful of other animals. He is a good mix of mellow and playful.
BIG DONNY

Big Donny is the biggest pup of all the litter, but don't let his size fool you, he is also one of the most gentle. He is going to be the epitome of a gentle giant.
TWIX

This puppy is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. He hasn't quite figured out yet that he is not meant to be a lap dog. He enjoys snuggling and would love a home with kids or a playmate.
GRIFFIN

Griffin is the second largest puppy and is the most thoughtful boy. He is extremely gentle, just like his mother, and loves attention, but will quietly wait his turn.
DUDLEY

This boy is beautiful with his white paws and dark face. We think he will retain some of his dark features as he grows. He has a small umbilical hernia, which our vet believes will not affect him in any way, but because of this, we are offering a slight discount.
BISCHOFF

Bischoff is sweet and adventurous. Bischoff does have one eye that has been a bit cloudy from the time it has opened, but it does not slow him down. He has been checked our vet, who does not think he has sight in the eye, but does not think this will affect him in any way. However, for this reason, he is being listed at a discount
RUFUS

Rufus is the smallest of the litter, but he is still going to be a great protector. He holds his own among his bigger siblings and does not back down from them. Rufus is a bit of a goofball and seems to have a personality like his father.

One of the first puppies to greet you. "Snowball" is loving and sweet and loves to be with her people. Snowball does have an overbite.

This girl is the perfect mix of cuddles and play time. She will play tug of war with you one minute and fall asleep on your lap the next. Pinkie does have an overbite.

This cutie is the lone male of the litter. He is the biggest and I am sure he will rival Beau in size as he grows.

Sunny is a sweet girl. She is quiet and observant and very much reminds me of her mother, FWF Sophie. While she enjoys attention, she is happy just being near you.

Grunt is the runt of the litter (hence the name, garnered from a mispronunciation of runt by Isaac). She is extra cuddly, likely due to being bottle fed for the first few days of her life. She has a healthy appetite and has been catching up to her brothers and sisters.
FATTY

Fatty is the largest of the litter, but despite that, she is sweet as can be. She has expressive eyes. She is playful puppy who also loves attention.
SPOT

Spot is a loving girl who enjoys cuddles. She is quiet and thoughtful, but when you start playing with her, she can get a blast of energy. Spot does have an overbite and because of this, she is not a candidate for breeding and is offered at a discounted price.

Beauty gets her name from her father, Beau. She looks very much like Beau as a puppy. Beauty is a sassy girl who loves to play, especially with her siblings. She is adventurous and brave.
